The aim of the institute is to carry out scientific studies to increase animal productivity through improving genotype and environmental conditions in cattle, sheep, goat, poultry and small domestic animals. Institute is also entrusted with conservation of native genetic sources. Training of researchers, organization of scientific meetings, congress, symposiums and panels and dissemination of research results to end users are included in the duties of Lalahan Livestock Central Research Institute.
