The activities in this unit are concentrated on breeding, feeding, livestock management, milk and meat production. The studies are carried on four different breeds such as Holstein, Brown-Swiss, Simmental and Native Black cattle.

 

Native Black cattle is the local breed in Central Anatolia and it is conserved as a local genetic resource. There are four cow barns with 250 heads capacity in this unit. The cows are milked in a full automated milking parlour where 10 cows can be milked at the same time.
